Yes, the room needs a new paint job, but this can be overlooked once you jump into the bed and enjoy the decadent mattress, pillows and linen.

The room itself could use a new paint job, but the free breakfast, unlimited snacks and excellent service makes up for this.

Stayed for two nights, great location, close to Hollywood, staff very helpful, couldn't do enough, nothing was any trouble, free soft drinks and snacks, breakfast was delicious and plentiful, large pool with view over Hollywood.

The apartment we stayed in definitely could do with some renovating BUT the views were amazing, the location perfect, the ""feel"" like being part of old time Hollywood where you could imagine someone coming to try to get their big break and the most helpful, friendly and considerate staff we came across in our 5 week North America vacation, not to mention the free breakfast, sodas and snacks!

We have been away from home for three months and stayed in 23 different hotels, We found the Hollywood Hills Hotel to be the best for value,hospitality, friendliness and service.

The staff were all so helpful and friendly and the even though the room needs updating, it is comfortable and clean and one block back from Hollywood boulevard.

The bed is new and comfortable, the toiletries are nice, but the bathroom, kitchen and living room could use some updating, or maybe just a thorough scrubbing.

Of course the staff are nice, but your a quarter mile up a steep hill from the lobby and the rather fine Magic Castle hotel, which is where you should stay.
