Incense and offerings will be placed at your door daily and the space will be cleaned daily. This is a hidden spot literally just minutes from the bustle of Ubud with its many restaurants and shops, but it feels like a retreat lost in time. In the day you will meet rice farmers and local women blessing the rice. At night you willsee fireflies and hear the rushing river, crickets and the distant sounds of the temple. You can enjoy the many hiking trails, order a massage in the natural surrounds or enjoy home cooked meal organically grown out of the garden as you feast on the stunning views of rice terraces. You can walk to town in ten minutes or we are happy to rent you a scooter or arrange a driver for longer excursions. This is a unique place and is not for everyone. It is eco tropical living at its best but with that comes nature in all its glory. The ultra sensitive or the less adventurous ought to do with a standard hotel. Things to note: There is noair-conditioning although because of the location there is a constant cool breeze and you may even enjoy the quilt we provide at night. This cottage is a woven basket with a living bamboo and traditional grass roof leaving it open andin nature. This means you may get up close and personal with those that share the rice fields. Fireflies, chirping geckos, the occasional snake or field mouse and depending on the time of year a few mosquitos. Don't let this deter you, this is an experience you will soon forget.
