All rooms are accessed by stairs. Invergarry Hotel is an old building and so does not have any lifts.
All rooms are en suite and have views over the gardens or the River Garry. The classic rooms are larger rooms.
Food is offered in the informal Bar/Restaurant. You can choose from an extensive menu of bistro bar food. The entire menu is based on local food purchased from local suppliers, freshly prepared on site by the team of chefs under the supervision of Head Chef James Murphy. Highland game, seafood and fish caught off the West Coast of Scotland, meats from Lochaber and Aberdeenshire and homemade baked goods all appear on the menu regularly. A choice of whiskies and ales accompany the meals. Please note that this will not suit customers looking for formal surroundings or formal dining.
Loch Ness and Fort Augustus are 7 miles (11.3 km) away. Ben Nevis and the Nevis Range are a 20-minute drive away, and Fort William and Glen Affric are a 30-minute drive. Eileen Donan Castle can be reached in 40 minutes and Inverness in 1 hour. Water sports, white-water rafting, canyoning, quad biking, kayaking, paint balling, mountaineering, skiing, shooting and stalking can be arranged for you by the hotel (at an additional cost).
By Air Inverness Airport is 1 hour and 10 minutes away by car. Transport can be arranged for collection from and delivery to the airport. By Rail Spean Bridge and Fort William have links to Glasgow and Edinburgh. Both Spean Bridge and Fort William stations are 30 minutesâ€™ drive from the hotel. Collection can be arranged. By Bus: Citylink buses stop outside the hotel for links to Glasgow, Inverness, Fort William and the Isle of Skye
With a peaceful position overlooking the River Garry, this friendly 4-star country inn is an ideal base from which to explore the Scottish Highlands. Between Fort William and the Nevis Range, Inverness, the west coast and Skye, the Invergarry Hotel is based at the historic home of the Ancient Clan Macdonnell. Built in 1885, the hotel was originally an old stagecoach inn. It has since been used as a sporting and shooting lodge before being transformed into a hotel, complete with residentsâ€™ lounge and private gardens. Steeped in history and character, the hotel provides traditional Highland hospitality, welcoming log fires, fresh local food, real ales from the Isle of Skye and a large range of wines and Highland whiskies. Dinner is served at the Invergarry Hotel and guests can choose from an extensive menu.
Late arrival needs to be pre-arranged. If not, and check-in is not made before 21:00, your room will be charged and sold. The hotel does not accept group bookings of 3 or more rooms. Please note Infants and children are only permitted in the family room. Please note that the number of guests in any room cannot exceed the advertised maximum occupancy. Guests who arrive with extra children or persons that are in addition to the number of beds provided will be refused access and no refund will be given.
